What we do

Three depths of work.

Specula can step in at three different moments: when you need to understand where your identity is creaking, when it must be turned into a decision-making system, or when it needs ongoing oversight so it doesn't lose coherence.

Specula Audit

Entry · ~ 2 weeks

When to choose it When you feel something is off between identity, strategy and the future of your market, but you don't yet know where to intervene.

The diagnostic snapshot every journey starts with. In two weeks we photograph the brand's identity status, the organization's AI maturity, the coherence between declared values and actual practice, and the identity's resilience against the key scenarios of your industry.

The output is a report that doesn't just describe: it shows where the identity holds, where it creaks, and which futures you are already ruling out, knowingly or not.

A.1Identity status Coherence analysis between what the brand declares and what it does.
A.2AI maturity How the organization uses (or endures) artificial intelligence.
A.3Scenario stress test How the identity holds up against the key scenarios of the industry.
A.4Report & recommendations Where to intervene, with what priority, and at what depth.
Diagnostic report Coherence map Intervention priorities

The decision it enables Understanding whether you need a light realignment, deep work on identity, or continuous oversight.

After this work you will have
  • a clear reading of where the identity holds and where it creaks;
  • a map of the inconsistencies between declared values and actual behavior;
  • an assessment of how AI is already entering your processes;
  • a concrete recommendation: light realignment, deep journey or continuous oversight.

Brand Operating System

Core · Full Journey, 2–3 months

When to choose it When the brand shouldn't just communicate better: it must become a system able to guide decisions, products, AI and behavior.

The complete journey, in six phases, with a mixed Specula + client team. It doesn't produce a rebranding: it produces an identity operating system (scenarios, speculative DNA, adaptive narratives, AI policy) with which the organization makes robust decisions about identity, products, services and artificial intelligence systems.

Every prototype passes through the Ethical Gate: a filter that keeps the brand from approving ideas that are effective but inconsistent with its values. What gets discarded ends up in the Registry of Refusals, a memory of strategic renunciations, useful when seductive, profitable — but wrong — proposals come back around.

F.1Scenarios Opening the field: possible futures, weak signals, crossed drivers.
F.1.5Competitive Futures Mapping Competitors' speculative trajectories, and the white spaces nobody is holding.
F.2Brand Archeology Excavating what must stay stable in every scenario: radical values, inviolable limits.
F.3Prototyping & Ethical Gate Stress-testing the brand across futures, Resilience Protocol, Registry of Refusals.
F.4Narrative synthesis Adaptive narratives that modulate to the scenario that materializes.
F.5Co-creation The preferable future opened to dialogue with communities, partners, territories.
F.6Activation A concrete roadmap: projects, prototypes, investments. And the launch of the Radar.
Brand Operating System AI policy Registry of Refusals Activation roadmap

The decision it enables Turning the brand from a declared identity into a cultural and strategic operating system.

After this work you will have
  • a speculative DNA able to guide future choices;
  • criteria for deciding what is coherent and what is not;
  • an AI policy anchored to the brand's values;
  • adaptive narratives for different scenarios;
  • an activation roadmap for products, services, communication and internal culture.

Brand Radar

Ongoing · annual partnership

When to choose it When your identity must stay aligned with a changing context: social, technological, competitive, regulatory signals.

The future doesn't stand still, and neither does the system that watches over it. Brand Radar is the annual partnership: every quarter we measure how the scenarios are moving, which weak signals confirm or contradict the hypotheses, where fragilities, inconsistencies or unexpected opportunities emerge.

If the signals diverge significantly for two consecutive quarters, the Re-Speculation Clause kicks in: the field is reopened and we re-speculate, before reality does it for you.

R.1Quarterly monitoring Signals vs scenarios: what's confirmed, what deviates, what emerges.
R.2Realignment Course corrections on narratives, products, policies.
R.3Re-Speculation Clause Divergence for two consecutive quarters? The process reopens.
R.4Alumni Network Frank exchange among brands watching over preferable futures.
Quarterly reports Weak signals Re-Speculation

The decision it enables Correcting course before the brand becomes incoherent, obsolete or reactive.

After this work you will have
  • quarterly oversight of your identity;
  • a reading of weak signals before they become problems;
  • criteria for knowing when to correct course;
  • a mechanism to avoid commercial, cultural or communication drift.

SOCIAL TECHNOLOGY REGULATORY MARKET

Plausible scenario · if we don't govern

A container of activities.

Success measured in attendance, an agenda dictated by grants, programs designed by adults more than by the young people themselves.

Preferable scenario · what we want to become

A radical community hub.

Care as an infrastructure that enables the freedom to experiment, not as assistance.

Non-negotiable core

Non-judgment Economic accessibility Care as infrastructure
